S. Korean Authorities' Ambition for "Confrontation and Unification of Social Systems" under Fire
Pyongyang, September 15 (KCNA) -- The chief executive of south Korea, addressing "Seoul security dialogue" on Sept. 9, blared that "unification is a basic solution to the north's nuclear issue and 'human rights issue'". She cried out for developing "Seoul security dialogue into multilateral security dialogue for laying a foundation for unification".

During her foreign tour shortly ago she distorted the truth of the serious situation that had been created on the Korean Peninsula recently and got on the nerves of the north while trumpeting about someone's "constructive role".

Commenting on this, Minju Joson Tuesday says such behavior is a revelation of the vicious attempt of the south Korean authorities to realize the ambition for "confrontation of social systems" and "unification of social systems" as it is an unpardonable move to foil the hard-won phase of reconciliation and stability between the north and the south.

The issue of reunification is an internal issue of the nation which Koreans in the north, south and abroad should realize from the independent stand, being responsible for the issue, and there is no foreign force who can replace the Korean nation in settling the reunification issue, the commentary says, and notes:

Foreign forces are the very one who divided the Korean nation and a basic factor of blocking the reunification of the country.

Foreign forces get more benefits from antagonism and confrontation, rather than reconciliation and cooperation between the north and the south.

The south Korean authorities would be well advised to clearly understand that the might of pushing forward the improvement of the north-south relations and defending peace on the Korean Peninsula is not any foreign force but the Korean nation itself, value the hard-won atmosphere of reconciliation and stability and take a sincere attitude to mending the inter-Korean relations.
