Solidarity with Korean People Expressed in Guinea, Bangladesh
Pyongyang, September 15 (KCNA) -- A lecture was given at the Defense Ministry of Guinea and a meeting for solidarity with the Korean people was held by the Bangladesh People's League on September 7 and 9, seven decades since the U.S. forces' occupation of south Korea.

The commander of the First Commando of Almami Samori Toure Barracks of the Guinean Army in a lecture said that the Korean nation has suffered unspeakable misfortune and pain for seven decades since Korea was divided into the north and the south. He referred to the circumstances of Korea's division.

From the outset of its occupation of south Korea the U.S. has blocked the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea, he noted.

A message was adopted at the meeting for solidarity with the Korean people held in Bangladesh.

It strongly urged the U.S. to roll back its hostile policy toward the DPRK, stop its occupation of south Korea and replace the armistice agreement by a peace accord so that durable peace would settle on the Korean Peninsula.

The basic factor of turning the Korean Peninsula into the biggest hotspot in the world is that the U.S. keeps huge armed forces for aggression equipped with war hardware in south Korea and its vicinity and ceaselessly stages war exercises and commits military provocations against the DPRK.

We extend firm solidarity to the government and people of the DPRK in their struggle to repulse the U.S. and the south Korean authorities' hostile policy and war provocation moves, defend the sovereignty and dignity of the nation and protect peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and in the rest of the world.
