There took place an unveiling ceremony on Sunday.

Present there were Kim Yong Nam, Pak Pong Ju and other senior officials of the party, state and army, the chief secretary of the Nampho City Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the chairman of the Nampho City People's Committee, and officials concerned.

The statues were unveiled by senior officials of the party, state and army and those of Nampho City.

Laid before the statues was a floral basket in the name of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Also laid before the statues were floral baskets in the joint name of the Central Committee of the WPK, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the DPRK Cabinet and in the name of the people of Nampho City.

Placed there were floral baskets in the names of the party and power bodies, working people's organizations, institutions, industrial establishments, farms, universities, units of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces in the city.

All the participants paid high tribute to the great leaders before their statues.

Kim Yong Nam, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, made an unveiling address.

The erection of the statues in the city is a noteworthy event of weighty significance in glorifying the sacred revolutionary careers and feats of the great leaders for all ages, the speaker said, and continued:

The great leaders visited Nampho City, providing guidance over the overall affairs of the city.

Thanks to Kim Jong Un, the wishes of all the citizens to erect the statues of the great leaders were successfully realized.

The speaker called upon all the people in the city to uphold Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il as the eternal leaders, the sun of Juche, and vigorously advance for building a thriving nation and winning the final victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche, closely united around the Central Committee of the WPK led by Kim Jong Un.

The participants were briefed on the statues before going them round.
