Illegal Surveillance in S. Korea Disclosed
Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- South Korean investigation institutions were recently disclosed to have illegally monitored communications among people, sparking off a furor.

According to the south Korean website News 1 on August 26, the Intelligence Service, the prosecution, police and military investigation institutions forced communications enterprises to hand over communications to them and investigated at least 82 245 445 data in three years since 2012.

These data reportedly included time of phone messages, e-mail, etc. phone numbers, internet records and IP addresses.

The present ruling forces have intensified the monitoring system after planting agents of the Intelligence Service involved in the suppression of opposition forces and youth and students during the Lee Myung Bak regime in the office of the chief secretary for civilian administration of Chongwadae.
