Students Meet to Vow Loyalty
Pyongyang, September 1 (KCNA) -- Students gathered at Kim Il Sung University Tuesday to pledge loyalty to Marshal Kim Jong Un to glorify the exploits of leader Kim Jong Il during his revolutionary activities at the university and to uphold Kim Jong Un's idea and leadership.

Jon Yong Nam, chairman of the Central Committee of the youth league, made a report to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers said Kim Jong Il's admission to the university on September 1, Juche 49 (1960) was a great event that firmly guaranteed the future of the revolutionary cause of Juche, the revolutionary cause of Songun and the future of the country.

Regarding it as his lifetime mission to successfully accomplish the revolutionary cause of President Kim Il Sung generation after generation, Kim Jong Il developed in depth the treasure house of the revolutionary idea of the Workers' Party of Korea during his revolutionary activities at the university and fully demonstrated his great personality and quality as the outstanding leader, they said, and went on:

Over more than half a century he led the Korean revolution to victory and glory, turning the country into a political and ideological power, a powerful nuclear weapons state and a military power and ushering in a great heyday of national prosperity unprecedented in the nation's history spanning 5 000 years.

They called for working hard to bring earlier the final victory in the drive for building a thriving nation in the revolutionary spirit of Paektu, the spirit of blizzards of Paektu under the leadership of Kim Jong Un, true to the intention of Kim Jong Il.

Present at the meeting were Thae Hyong Chol, president of Kim Il Sung University and minister of Higher Education, officials of the youth league and students.
