Ryongsan Youth Power Station Goes Operational
Pukchang, September 1 (KCNA) -- The Ryongsan Youth Power Station went operational with due ceremony on Tuesday.

The construction of the power station provided a foundation for contributing to the economic development and improvement of the people's living standard in South Phyongan Province.

Present there were Pak Thae Song, chief secretary of the South Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, shock brigade members and employees of the power station.

Read out was a message of thanks the C.C., the WPK sent to members of the youth shock brigade, builders and officials who performed labor feats in the construction of the power station.

The message said that leader Kim Jong Il set forth a militant task of paying attention to the construction of the power station in South Phyongan Province where there are abundant water power resources and of dynamically accelerating the construction of small and medium-size power stations and clearly indicated the ways for implementing it.

It highly estimated the members of youth shock brigade, builders and officials in the South Phyongan Province who built the power station by giving full place to the spirit of devotedly implementing the party's policy with gem-like loyalty and noble moral obligation for the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu.

An inaugural address was followed by speeches to take pledge.
