Korea's Liberation Day Marked in Hungary, Venezuela
Pyongyang, September 1 (KCNA) -- Hungarian and Venezuelan newspapers carried special write-ups to mark the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

The Hungarian paper Liberation on August 15 said that during the occupation of Korea the Japanese imperialists plundered Korea of everything and killed more than a million Koreans. Moreover, they tried to assimilate the Koreans to Japanese.

However, the Japanese imperialists were defeated by the anti-Japanese armed struggle led by President Kim Il Sung and the Korean people greeted the day of liberation, the paper noted.

The Korean people freed from the colonial yoke of the Japanese imperialists turned out in the drive for building a new country, it said, adding:

The Workers' Party of Korea founded by him led the people to the building of a new country.

It victoriously led the Fatherland Liberation War to protect the sovereignty of the country from the U.S. imperialists and encouraged the service personnel and people in the dynamic drive for the postwar rehabilitation and construction and socialist construction in unity.

Marshal Kim Jong Un is now arousing the service personnel and people of the DPRK to the drive for building a thriving socialist nation.

The Venezuelan internet paper Aporea on August 18 in an article laid bare barbarities committed by the Japanese imperialists during the occupation of Korea. It said the reality of the DPRK makes the people recollect once again the significance of Korea's liberation which brought about a turning point in carving out the independent destiny of the popular masses and achieving the prosperity of the country.
