An unveiling ceremony took place on Saturday.

Present there were Kim Yong Nam, Kim Ki Nam, Choe Ryong Hae and others, officials concerned, labor innovators, shock brigade members, service personnel, officials, working people, youth and students in the province.

The statues were unveiled by senior officials of the party, state and army and those of the province.

When the statues were unveiled, they shed brilliant rays.

Laid before the statues was a floral basket in the name of Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

Also laid before the statues were floral baskets in the joint name of the Central Committee of the WPK, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the DPRK Cabinet and in the name of the people of the province.

Placed then were floral baskets in the names of the party and power bodies, working people's organizations, institutions, industrial establishments, farms and universities in the province and units of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces.

All the participants paid high tribute to the great leaders before their statues.

Kim Yong Nam, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, made an unveiling address.

The erection of the statues in the province is a noteworthy, historic event of weighty significance in glorifying the sacred revolutionary careers and feats of the great leaders for all ages, the speaker said, and continued:

The great leaders provided meticulous guidance to North Hwanghae Province, wisely leading the party work, economy and culture and all other affairs in the province.

He called upon the officials, party members and all other people in the province to regard the behests of the great leaders as important guidelines, implement them unconditionally without an inch of deflection and concession and uphold the leadership of Kim Jong Un with pure conscience and obligation.

The participants were briefed on the statues before going round them.
