Swedish, Polish Bodies Demand Stop to U.S.-S. Korea Joint Military Drills
Pyongyang, August 29 (KCNA) -- Swedish and Polish organizations made public statements on August 24 and 25 in denunciation of the U.S. and south Korean authorities' undisguised moves for aggression.

The Sweden-Korea Friendship Association said that the situation on the Korean Peninsula is worsening owing to the U.S.-south Korea Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military drills (UFG).

UFG is aimed at a sudden attack on the DPRK and "occupation of Pyongyang," the statement noted, and went on:

The U.S. and south Korean authorities should stop at once the moves aggravating tension on the Korean Peninsula including the joint military drills for aggression.

The U.S. should withdraw its aggression forces from south Korea and refrain from blocking the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea.

The Poland branch of the Korean Friendship Association in a statement said:

70 years have passed since Korea was divided owing to the outside forces.

We strongly demand the U.S. withdraw its troops from south Korea.

We support the peaceful reunification of Korea and urge the U.S. and south Korean authorities to stop at once their anti-DPRK moves for aggression.

We extend full support and solidarity to the Korean people in their just struggle to protect the sovereignty and dignity of the country.
