Important Day of DPRK Observed in Switzerland

| Pyongyang, August 28 (KCNA) -- The Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea released a joint statement on August 18 on the occasion of the Day of Songun of the DPRK. The statement said: Generalissimo Kim Jong Il started the Songun revolutionary leadership by visiting the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division of the Korean People's Army (KPA) on August 25, Juche 49 (1960). He guided combat and political trainings of soldiers, visiting lots of KPA units for several decades. He formulated the Songun politics as the main political mode of socialism. Socialist Korea became a world political and military power, space power and nuclear weapons state under his care. After his unexpected demise Marshal Kim Jong Un has carried forward the Songun revolutionary leadership. On the 2012 New Year day Kim Jong Un visited the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division of the KPA. His Songun revolutionary leadership will defend peace on the Korean Peninsula and bring about national reunification. |
