70th Anniversary of Korea's Liberation Marked Abroad
Pyongyang, August 27 (KCNA) -- Foreign media carried special write-ups or aired a special program on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

The Ugandan paper Sun Rise on August 14 dedicated one whole page to an article dealing with the historical significance of Korea's liberation, illustrated with a portrait of smiling President Kim Il Sung.

It said that Korea's liberation was the historic event in which the destiny of the Korean people dramatically changed from slaves to masters. The President enabled Korea, once eclipsed in the world map, to emerge a proud independent and sovereign state in the international arena, the article added.

The British paper Workers Weekly on August 15 carried an article illustrated with a photo of the President making a historic address at a rally held to welcome him on his triumphant return home. It praised the role played by the DPRK to contribute to the world peace and security.

The Senegalese paper Le Populaire on August 13 carried an article accompanied with a photo of Marshal Kim Jong Un. It said the DPRK founded by President Kim Il Sung is led by another brilliant commander of Songun Kim Jong Un, supreme commander of the Korean People's Army. He is recognized in the world political arena as the leader with the strongest courage and guts, it added.

On the same day the Senegal State Radio in a program praised the personality of Kim Jong Un as a brilliant commander of Mt. Paektu as he carried forward the leadership art of the preceding leaders.

The Guinean paper Horoya on August 12 dedicated one whole page to a special write-up illustrated with a photo of the Arch of Triumph. It said that August 15, 1945 was a turning point in the history of the Korean people.
