Thanks to his Songun (army-first) policy, the Korean People's Army further developed into invincible armed forces and defeated every war provocation from the U.S. imperialists, displaying the might of the DPRK.

In Juche 92 (2003) when RC-135, a U.S. military reconnaissance plane, intruded into the DPRK's territorial sky, the KPA foiled the reckless provocative move by immediately setting its fighter plane into motion.

Terming this second EC-121 case, the U.S. could not but ban the flight of RC-135 for a while, frightened at strong counteraction from the KPA.

At that time, world media reported that the case showed the KPA does never make empty talk and the DPRK guided by the Songun policy is quite different from Iraq.

On the military might of the DPRK and its strong will, media of Western European countries stressed that the DPRK is the only military power who is ready to fight an overall war with the U.S.

The Songun policy continues under the guidance of supreme leader Kim Jong Un in the DPRK.
