Present there were officials of the ministry, service personnel of the KPA Ground, Navy and Air and Anti-Air Force and cadets of military academies at all levels.

The participants laid floral baskets and bunches of flowers before the statues of the great leaders and made bows to them.

Ri Chang Gil, chairman of the KPA Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, made a report at the meeting.

He said that all service personnel and people across the country are significantly greeting the Day of Songun when Kim Jong Il started the Songun revolutionary leadership, and the Youth Day.

He went on:

Kim Jong Il started the Songun revolutionary leadership at the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division of the KPA on Aug. 25, Juche 49 (1960). This was a significant event that heralded before the whole world the birth of the new era for the succession to the Songun revolutionary cause of Juche which was pioneered by the President and the birth of the historic era when the young vanguard under arms are making a breakthrough for the revolution and construction, the idea of attaching importance to arms and that of considering the youth as important being regarded as just the same.

The Songun revolutionary cause of Juche is being steadily carried forward to a final victory by the leadership of Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un.

The reporter called on all service personnel to carry on dynamic struggle to successfully accomplish the Songun revolutionary cause of Juche as becoming revolutionaries who lead a worthwhile life under the care of the great leaders and the great party.

Then the floor was taken by officers and non-commissioned officers.

They vowed to wipe out the group of aggressors with the arms of Paektusan which Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il provided as powerful treasured sword of Songun all their lives and fly the red flag of the final victory of Songun revolution.
