DPRK's Important Day Marked Abroad
Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- Foreign papers carried special write-ups on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

The Malaysian paper Guang Ming Daily on August 6 carried an article illustrated with the portrait of smiling President Kim Il Sung.

The article said that the President was a legendary commander, who started the armed struggle with two pistols he had received from his father and finally liberated the country on August 15, 1945.

The Lao paper Vatelao on Aug. 12 carried an article titled "Korea's liberation, a turning point in history" illustrated with the portrait of the smiling President.

The article said that the liberation didn't merely mean national restoration but was a historic event that brought about a change in the fate of the Korean people, making them master from slave.

The Indian paper Indian and World Event on Aug. 12 dedicated two whole pages to articles titled "Legendary guerrilla" illustrated with photos of the President and leader Kim Jong Il.

The paper in an article titled "Korea-succession of socialist cause" said that the President pioneered the socialist cause of Korea.
