Provokers Will Have to Pay Dearly: DPRK Citizens
Pyongyang, August 23 (KCNA) -- A touch-and-go situation prevails over the Korean Peninsula due to the anti-DPRK military provocations by the south Korean forces.

Tough measures taken at the emergency enlarged meeting of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea are quite proper for the prevailing situation, Pak Jong Won, an official of University of National Economy, told KCNA.

The measures are aimed at safeguarding the sovereignty and peace of the country from the reckless provocations of the enemies for aggression on the DPRK, he said, and continued:

The DPRK has consistently made patient efforts to defend peace and security of the Korean Peninsula and improve the worsened north-south relations.

This year alone, it took a series of important steps to remove the danger of war, ease tensions and create peaceful atmosphere on the peninsula, in response to the patriotic appeal made by supreme leader Kim Jong Un to open up a broad avenue to independent reunification by the concerted efforts of the whole nation.

But the U.S. and the south Korean puppet bellicose forces answered it with Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises and psywar against the DPRK. They will have to pay dearly for such action.

The present situation proves itself that peace can never settle in the Korean Peninsula as long as the warmongers remain in power, said Ri Son Hyang, a student of Kim Chaek University of Technology.

Under this situation, toughest military countermeasures are the one and only recipe for those warmongers, she said, adding that the DPRK would teach them what the real war is.
