According to the south Korean internet newspaper Chamsesang, the Taegu city authorities advanced the "plan of civilians' participation in 2015 Ulji exercises" on Aug. 16 and sent official notices to various organs including the association of "children's house" and demanded it let even children participate in the drills.

Hundreds of children were taken to a military exercise ground near the Taegu City Office to do shooting, carrying gears and camouflage from Aug. 17 to 20.

The residents there, bursting their anger, urged the office to stop the human rights abuses against children.
