Kim Jong Un Sends Birthday Spread to Centenarian
Pyongyang, August 22 (KCNA) -- Supreme leader Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to anti-Japanese revolutionary fighter Ri Jong In on the centenary of her birth.

Born in a foreign land on August 22, Juche 4 (1915), she was subject to all sorts of maltreatment and humiliation as a wife-to-be of a landlord's house. Feeling deep grief of statelessness she embarked on the road of the revolution in Juche 18 (1929).

Growing up to be a revolutionary under the care of President Kim Il Sung, she had the honor of doing the work of the Children's Corps and the Young Communist League together with anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk.

She heroically fought in the period of the fierce Fatherland Liberation War and after the war worked at several posts of the party and the state for a long time.

The peerlessly great men made sure that Ri, who had served the revolutionary cause of the party and leaders with loyalty as befitting the first praiseworthy generation of the revolution, was conferred high commendations including Orders of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, a gold watch bearing the august name of Kim Il Sung and the title of labor hero.

She become full of energy despite her advanced age and could shine her valuable life as a revolutionary fighter under the warm care of Kim Jong Un who possessed noble personality of the great leaders.

The birthday spread was conveyed to Ri on Saturday.
