Children's Camps Built in DPRK under Care of Great Persons
Pyongyang, August 22 (KCNA) -- In scenic spots of the DPRK there are a lot of children's camps.

Those camps tell about the loving care shown by the peerlessly great persons for posterity.

Among them is the Sokam Children's Camp located in the northern suburbs of Pyongyang, the capital city.

It was in June Juche 35 (1946) that President Kim Il Sung toured the Kyonryong Reservoir. Saying it is a scenic place, he suggested building a children's camp there.

Despite the difficulties of postwar reconstruction, he took necessary steps to build the camp. And he visited this Sokam Children's Camp, the first of its kind in the country, in August 1957.

Later, many children's camps took their shapes at such picturesque places across the country as Mts. Ryongak and Myohyang, Songdowon and Lake Sohung, under the deep care and energetic guidance of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

Supreme leader Kim Jong Un visited children's camps in Songdowon and Mt. Myohyang and took a measure to better the camps in keeping with the requirements of the new century.

After all, the Songdowon International Children's Camp was remodeled on a high level and the Sokam Children's Camp and other children's camps across the country renewed in a few years.

That's why many foreigners have praised the great persons' noble outlook on posterity.
