Anniversary of Korea's Liberation Observed Abroad
Pyongyang, August 22 (KCNA) - There took place events in different countries on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

A meeting, photo and book exhibitions, lectures and film shows were held by the People's Socialist Party of Mexico, Kim Jong Il Library of Enugu State in Nigeria and Progres School and a wood processing factory in Mali from August 10 to 14.

Displayed at the venues of photo and book exhibitions were photos documenting the exploits of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Also displayed there were their works, and books and photos introducing the history and might of Songun Korea.

Korean films including "Fireworks of a Thriving Nation" were shown at the film shows.

The general secretary of the Central Committee of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico paid the highest tribute to Kim Il Sung who liberated the Korean people from the fate of colonial slaves and turned the DPRK into a socialist power.

He said that it would be impossible to think about the Korean people, the master of the country, and the DPRK shining as the beacon of hope of progressive mankind without Korea's liberation.

The chief of Kim Jong Il Library of Enugu State in Nigeria said:

The exploits performed by Kim Il Sung by leading the anti-Japanese war to victory with his adroit strategies, tactics and war methods will go down in history.
