The organizational secretary of the German Branch of the Korean Friendship Association said that August 15 is a historic day when President Kim Il Sung led to victory the hard-fought anti-Japanese armed struggle, thus liberating Korea.

He went on:

The President built Korea into a genuine people's country after the liberation.

Today Korea is the only one where such genuine people-oriented policies as the system of free education and free medical care are fully introduced, and the world progressive people envy the Korean people who enjoy full genuine political rights.

An official of Cabinda Province of Angola said that the President defeated the strong Japanese imperialists, achieved a historic cause of national liberation and turned Korea into a dignified socialist power.
