Joint Photo Exhibition "History of Friendship" Opens in Russia
Pyongyang, August 21 (KCNA) -- A photo exhibition on the theme of "history of friendship" was opened in Vladivostok, Russia on Aug. 14 under the co-sponsorship of the Maritime Territorial branch of the United Russia Party and the DPRK consulate general in Nakhodka, Russia on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's visit to the Far Eastern Region of the Russian Federation and the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

Displayed on the front wall of the venue of the exhibition were photos of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il during their visits to the Soviet Union and Russia among Kimilsungias.

On display there were photos dealing with the feats performed by Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Displayed there were their works, and books and photos introducing the DPRK and handcrafts associated with creative talents of the Korean people.

Speeches were made at an opening ceremony.

The chairman of the Maritime Territorial Legislative Assembly said that the joint photo exhibition was an important occasion for promoting the development of bilateral relations.

He said that photos and films helped him to know once again the feats Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il performed for the development of friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries.

He was pleased that the Russia-DPRK relations are developing on good terms under the deep care of Kim Jong Un and expressed his will to make positive efforts to expand cooperation with the DPRK in the future, too.

The deputy-secretary of the Regional Political Council of the Maritime Territorial branch of the United Russia Party stressed the need to make efforts to respect and carry forward the tradition of friendship provided by the preceding leaders of the two countries.

Then, there was a performance given by students of Russia and the show of a film on the history between the two countries.
