It was attended by scientists, technicians, teachers in the field of rare-earth application technology including those of the State Academy of Sciences, Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Wonsan University of Agriculture.

Various papers were read out there to introduce successes and experience gained in prospecting and refining rare-earth resources and manufacturing rare-earth products with latest science and technology.

A lecture was given on the recent trend of rare-earth industry development and sci-tech issues of improving the quality of rare-earth products and decreasing their production costs.
