On display at the venues of the events were photos dealing with the exploits of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Also displayed there were their works, and books and photos introducing the DPRK.

Shown at the film shows were Korean films including "The Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum" and "Masikryong Ski Resort".

Speakers including officials of the mission of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Vladivostok and the Maritime Territorial Branch of the United Russia Party said the exploits performed by the peoples of the two countries against the Japanese imperialists, their common enemy, would be handed down forever, saying that Aug. 15 is a meaningful day of great historic significance for Russia and the DPRK.

They stressed that Russia-DPRK friendship provided by the great leaders is further developing under the deep care of President Putin and H.E. Kim Jong Un and it is making positive contribution to peace and security in Northeast Asia.

The president of the Khmer Democratic Party of Cambodia in his speech praised Kim Il Sung as the great father of the Korean nation who realized the country's liberation from the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule over it through fifteen years of anti-Japanese armed struggle.

The chairman of the Anti-Imperialist Forum of Germany said that Kim Il Sung realized the country's liberation seventy years ago and thus achieved the exploits before the Korean nation and instilled the faith in victory into progressive humankind.

The administrative director of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea in a speech said that Kim Il Sung who is enjoying the boundless reverence of the progressive people was the peerless patriot who led the arduous anti-Japanese armed struggle to victory and liberated the Korean people from the destinies of the colonial slaves and built a powerful country in which the people became genuine masters and outstanding elder statesman who led the cause of human independence to victory.
