When visiting the fruit farm, a patriotic legacy of leader Kim Jong Il, in June last year, he urged it to produce and supply more fruits to the people and thus glorify Kim Jong Il's leadership exploits.

The supreme leader toured the farm permeated with fruit fragrance, saying that he was so pleased to hear that the farm had an unusually rich harvest of fruit and supplied hundreds of tons of first-harvested apple to the citizens of Pyongyang on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of national liberation.

Seeing the tempting apples for a while, he said with pleasure it is a sign of prosperity for the country, adding that he is happy to imagine the people being so glad to receive the fruits and that a look at the fruits is enough to make him feel satisfied.

The Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm and all other fruit farms across the country should reap a rich harvest every year as this is a very important work for glorifying the undying feats of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for the country's pomiculture and defending their prestige, he stressed.

He said that the fruit farms should concentrate efforts on raising the per-hectare yield to rapidly increase the country's fruit output.

In order to develop the pomiculture it is needed to establish the state sci-tech guidance system in a proper way, introduce the advanced technique to keep up with the world trend of fruit culture and conduct a brisk socialist emulation among the fruit farms.

He gave thanks to the officials and employees of the farm for having reaped a rich harvest of fruits as a present to the 70th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea through their devoted efforts to implement the behest of Kim Jong Il.

He called on them to better the farm into a world-leading thriving orchard for the people with high ambition for world supremacy in the fruit culture and thus convey the great leaders' loving care for the people for all ages.
