70th Anniversary of Korea's Liberation Celebrated in DPRK
Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- All the service personnel and people of the DPRK celebrated with splendor the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

People entered the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred temple of Juche, where President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il lie in state, and made bows to the portraits of the smiling leaders.

They spent a pleasant time at the park which has turned into a large flower garden for the perpetuity of the leaders.

Service personnel, people and school youth and children visited the statues of the peerlessly great men on Mansu Hill and the portraits of the smiling great leaders across the country and paid floral tribute to them.

At the Arch of Triumph the visitors expressed boundless reverence for the President who led the bloody anti-Japanese war to victory and saved the Korean nation from the colonial slavery.

Service personnel, people and school youth and children visited the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong, the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery, the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery, statues, cemeteries and graves of martyrs across the country and paid tribute to them.

Art performances were given at theatres, halls and open-air stages in Pyongyang and local areas.

The revolutionary drama "Celebrations" was given at the National Theatre.

Colorful acrobatic pieces were put on the stage at the Pyongyang Circus Theater, delighting people on the holiday.

Celebrations took place in South Phyongan, Jagang, South Hamgyong provinces and other parts of the country.
