Wreaths Laid before Martyrs Cemeteries
Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid before the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery on Saturday, the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

A wreath sent by supreme leader Kim Jong Un was seen standing on the wreath-laying stand at the cemetery.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Choe Ryong Hae, Yang Hyong Sop, O Su Yong and other leading officials of the party and armed forces bodies, Cabinet, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, service personnel of the Korean People's Army (KPA) and working people in Pyongyang.

A wreath in the joint name of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and the Central Military Commission of the WPK, the National Defence Commission of the DPRK was placed at the wreath-laying stand "Soul of Heroes" of the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery.

Also placed before the cemetery were wreaths in the names of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, ministries, national institutions, units of the KPA, scientific, educational, public health and media institutions, party and power organs in Pyongyang.

The participants paid silent tribute to the memory of the fallen fighters of the Korean People's Army who repulsed the invasion by the imperialist allied forces and honorably defended the freedom and independence of the country and the gains of the revolution.

They went round the cemetery.
