August 15, 1945 marked a historic turning point for the Korean people.

Korea's liberation meant not only national resurrection to the Korean people but also the historic event which brought about a turning point in their fate from slave to master.

Rio Panorama noted that it was of great significance that guerilla warfare was defined as the main form of the national liberation struggle in the colonial countries by the President who led the 15 year-long anti-Japanese armed struggle to victory.

The Korean people looked up to the President as the sun of the nation and the savior of liberation, turned out in the sacred anti-Japanese war under his leadership and achieved Korea's liberation on August 15, 1945.

Nakhodkinski Rabochi said that the situation of Korea lets the Koreans ponder once more over the historic meaning of Korea's liberation which brought about the turning point in molding the destiny of the popular masses independently and achieving prosperity of the country.

The website of the Eastern Siberian Publishing House in Irkutsk Region noted that Korea's liberation which paved the way for socialism will shine long as an event to be specially recorded in the history of the Korean nation along with eternally prospering socialist Korea.
