Present at the event were delegations and delegates on a visit to the DPRK to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation, foreign diplomatic envoys and staff members of foreign embassies here.

Present there were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Jong Suk, chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who double as chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Solidarity with the World People, officials concerned and Pyongyangites.

The floor was taken by Helmi El Hadidi, chairman of the Afro-Asian People's Solidarity Organization, Phanindra Raj Pant, secretary of the Nepalese Committee for Promotion of Reunification of Korea, Estuardo Martinez Perez, president of the General Kim Jong Il Peruvian Amicable Institute and secretary general of the Peruvian Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea, and Anders Kristensen, chairman of the Denmark－DPRK Friendship Association.

They said that President Kim Il Sung led the anti-Japanese war to victory for 20 years despite all difficulties and trials baffling human imagination and thus achieved the historic cause of Korea's liberation, adding that this was the one of the greatest feats performed by him.

They praised the feats leader Kim Jong Il performed by carrying forward and developing the idea and cause of the President in all fields, turning the Workers' Party of Korea into an invincible party and building the DPRK as an independent and prosperous thriving socialist nation.

They expressed belief that Korea would be reunified without fail, a thriving nation be built and the human cause of independence advance along the road of victory thanks to Marshal Kim Jong Un who is successfully translating the desire of the President and Kim Jong Il into reality.

The U.S. is the chief architect of Korea's division, they said, denouncing the hostile forces' hostile policy toward the DPRK and moves to isolate and stifle the DPRK through the aggressive nuclear war exercises and non-existent "human rights" racket.

They vowed to carry on the struggle shoulder to shoulder with the Korean people till Korea is reunified under the leadership of Kim Jong Un, true to the reunification program set forth by the President and Kim Jong Il.

Kim Jong Suk in her speech expressed belief that dear foreign friends would extend invariable support and solidarity to the Korean people in their efforts to achieve the country's reunification and build a thriving socialist nation.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the event.
