The groups of the relay running along the east and west coastal areas arrived in Kaesong on Thursday.

Service personnel laid a floral basket and bouquets before the statue of President Kim Il Sung in Kaesong City and paid tribute to him.

That day they went round a post of Mt. Taedok and held a meeting of talking combat feats performed by guard units.

They visited Panmunjom on Friday.

Before the monument inscribed with Kim Il Sung's autographic signature they recollected the feats of the peerlessly great persons who devoted themselves to the reunification of the country. Then they went round various places in Panmunjom.

Present there were Lieutenant General of the Korean People's Army Ryom Chol Song, and service personnel of the ground, naval and air and anti-air force.

At the meeting Ri Chang Gil, chairman of the Committee of the Korean People's Army of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, made a report.

The reporter said the service personnel keenly felt the personality of the peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu who liberated the country and demonstrated the dignity of the country and nation, holding high the banner of Songun while visiting battle sites of the anti-Japanese war, Chol Pass, Kamnamu Company, the monument to feats of 14 fighters of human bombs, graves of naval fighters, etc.

He underlined the need to dynamically advance to bring earlier national reunification and the final victory for the building of a thriving nation in the revolutionary spirit of Paektu, the spirit of the blizzards of Paektu under the leadership of Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un.
