After all she brought home the first gold medal in the world swimming event.

Behind her admirable success were the painstaking efforts of her coach Sin Jong Rim.

In this regard, Kim Chun Ok, an official of the Federation of Sports Technique, told KCNA:

Sin Jong Rim, 40 years old now, proved successful at the women's one meter springboard diving in the First Military World Games held in Italy at the age of 20.

Then she graduated from Korea University of Physical Education and worked at the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports before starting her career as a coach of the April 25 Sports Team.

She had made tireless and devoted efforts to develop the diving skills of Kim Kuk Hyang as her first trainee at the team.

She was awarded the title of People's Athlete, along with Kim.
