U.S. Trick Aimed at Military Supremacy Disclosed
Pyongyang, August 14 (KCNA) -- The U.S. chief of the general staff of navy-designate at a recent confirmation hearing at the Senate Armed Services Committee blustered the biggest threat to the U.S. navy in the Asia-Pacific is "north Korea's provocations and its bolstered capability of ballistic missiles."

He cried out for "tightening the ties with the U.S. allies in the region and steadily bolstering up their capabilities in order to defuse security threat" and "reinforcing naval force for defence in the Pacific region".

Rodong Sinmun Friday in a commentary says the U.S. stereo-typed talk about "provocation" and "threat" is aimed to justify its arms buildup under such pretext.

Clear is the aim sought by the U.S. in vociferating about "threat" and "provocation" from the DPRK, the news analyst says, and goes on:

It seeks to tighten military alliance for aggression in the Asia-Pacific region, reinforce armed force and thus contain big powers in the region, namely China and Russia, and hold military supremacy.

It is the invariable ambition of the U.S. in the new century to dominate the world with the Asia-Pacific as a springboard.

With no sleight of hand can the U.S. regain its declining position as a hegemonic force in the region.

No matter what rhetoric the U.S. may let loose about "threat" and "provocation", it can never cover up its dirty colors as the arch criminal escalating the tension on the Korean peninsula and disturbing the world peace.
