Kim Il Sung's Feats for Korea's Liberation Praised
Pyongyang, August 13 (KCNA) -- Jo Il Min, chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front, was interviewed by KCNA on Thursday on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

He warmly praised the greatness of President Kim Il Sung, a legendary hero of the anti-Japanese war.

He went on:

The President launched an arduous struggle, crossing steep ridges of Mt. Paektu despite blizzard for 20 years, firmly determined that he will not return home unless Korea became independent in his teens.

The President put the brigandish Japanese imperialists into the abyss of ruin with his Juche-oriented revolutionary idea and line and superb guerrilla war method during the days of the anti-Japanese war and thus achieved the historic cause of Korea's liberation.

But for his commandership, the Korean nation would not have got rid of the miserable fate of slaves who were deprived of their mother tongue and names and Korea would have always remained eclipsed in the world map.

He was, indeed, the father of socialist Korea and the Korean nation is the Kim Il Sung's nation reborn thanks to him.

The greatest feats performed by him was that he defeated the Japanese imperialists armed to teeth with neither state-backing home front nor assistance of a regular army and liberated the country.

The history of patriotism and exploits of the President who saved the destiny of the country and fellow countrymen will remain shining forever along with the history of the nation.
