Anniversary of Korea's Liberation Marked by Foreign Crewmen
Pyongyang, August 12 (KCNA) -- Meetings of foreign crewmen took place at Chongjin and Nampho ports on Wednesday on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

The participants laid floral baskets and bouquets before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in Chongjin City, North Hamgyong Province and portraits of the smiling peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu in Nampho City and paid tribute to them.

Present there were captains and crewmen of Cambodia-, Panama- and China-flagged ships.

Speakers said that the President nurtured his great intention to liberate the country and led the anti-Japanese armed struggle to victory and liberated the country.

Thanks to this significant day of liberation the Korean people could emerge citizens of a full-fledged sovereign state and lead an independent and creative life, they noted, and continued:

The revolutionary exploits performed by the President on behalf of the era and history are shining more brilliantly under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

They expressed belief that the final victory of the Korean revolution would be surely achieved under the leadership of Kim Jong Un who is successfully carrying forward the idea and cause of the President.

Letters to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the meetings.
