The tournament held in Thailand from August 5 brought together at least 120 ace men and women players from 14 countries including the DPRK, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China and region.

The DPRK players bagged 3 gold medals, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.

Hong Il won a gold medal in men's individual event of junior second class, Choe Hyang Rim in women's individual event of junior second class and Kim Kwon Phyong in men's individual event of junior third class.

Ro Yong Myong and Kim Kwon Yong placed second in men's individual events of junior first class and third class respectively and Han Kum Chol and Ri Ju Won came third in men's individual events of youth class and junior third class respectively.
