Anniversary of Korea's Liberation Observed Abroad
Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation on August 4 and 5.

They included a lecture in Guinea and photo and book exhibitions and film shows in Algeria, Iran, Mongolia and Romania.

Displayed at the venues of book and photo exhibitions were photos dealing with the exploits of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Also on display there were their works, and photos and books introducing Songun Korea.

Korean films including "My Country Has Emerged Victorious by Dint of Single-minded Unity" and "Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum" were shown at film shows.

The chairman of the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea in Conakry, Guinea said in a lecture:

August 15 is the day of Korea's liberation.

On that day 70 years ago Korea was liberated and the Korean people could be freed from colonial slavery and lead an independent and dignified life as the master of their destiny and the proud master of the state and society.

The DPRK is admired by the international community as it has firmly defended its socialist cause, keeping to the road chosen by it.

After watching the film, the secretary general of the Taekwon-Do Association of Mongolia said that the DPRK could propel the building of an economic power, displaying its might as the politico-ideological power and military power, as it has the single-minded unity centered on the great leader.

A congratulatory message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at an event held in Mongolia.
