Present there were Nam Sung U, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan, Kim Yong Ju, chairman of the C.C., the Korean Youth League in Japan, officials and members of the youth league.

Introduced at the meeting were a message sent by the C.C., the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League and other messages from the homeland.

Nam Sung U in a congratulatory speech said that it is an honorable patriotic duty of the Korean youth and students in Japan to creditably perform the mission they assumed before the era and the nation, sharing the same breath and footsteps with the young people in the homeland all out in a heroic struggle to win the final victory under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un who has pursued the politics of love and trust for the young people.

Kim Yong Ju noted in a report that the formation of the youth league was a historic event that opened a new phase of the overseas youth movement in the world and brought about a fundamental turn in the development of the Korean youth movement in Japan and the life of Korean youth and students in Japan.

He declared that the Korean youth in Japan would demonstrate the new spirit and fresh appearance of the youth league in Japan advancing full of dynamism.

At the end of the meeting, there took place an art performance and joint meeting.

Meanwhile, a photo exhibition was held to mark the anniversary of the youth league in Japan on the same day.
