Anniversary of Korea's Liberation Observed Abroad
Pyongyang, August 6 (KCNA) -- Events took place in various countries to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation on July 28 and 31.

They included a meeting in Russia, lecture and photo exhibition in Mongolia and film show in Nigeria.

On display at the venues of the events were photos on revolutionary activities of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The vice-director of the International Department of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia said the President liberated the country from the colonial rule by the Japanese imperialists by leading the 15 year-long anti-Japanese armed struggle to a victory, adding:

Kim Jong Il rallied all the service personnel and people around the leader, smashed the imperialists' moves to stifle the DPRK by pursuing the unique Songun politics and thus defended socialism.

The idea and cause of the President and Kim Jong Il have been successfully carried forward by Kim Jong Un.

The chairman of the Mongolia-Democratic Korea Friendship Bridge Association said the exploits the President performed by liberating Korea, a turning point for the Korean people to independently carve out their destiny and achieve prosperity, will shine for all ages.

The director of a Nigerian company, after watching the Korean films "The Tower of the Juche Idea" and "The Arch of Triumph", said the exploits the President performed by liberating the country will shine long in the world history of struggle for national liberation against imperialism.
