Senior officials of the relevant units read out the appeal to be followed by speeches to renew pledges.

Speakers called for devotedly defending the Party Central Committee and working miracles and innovations in the production and construction, firmly convinced that the cause of national reunification and that of building a thriving nation are sure to be accomplished under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The representatives of workers vowed to creditably fulfill their revolutionary duties in the all-out offensive for the final victory in the confrontation with the U.S. and in the drive for building a thriving nation by carrying forward the indomitable fighting spirit displayed by the workers of the old generation in increasing production in wartime, true to the idea and leadership of President Kim Il Sung.

The representatives of agricultural workers pledged to widely introduce scientific farming methods and make a fresh leap forward in agricultural production, true to the noble intention of the Party which considers the agricultural front as the first line trench of the first echelon in defending socialism, and thus glorify for all ages the history of bumper harvest on this land protected by grandfathers and fathers with their lives during the past Fatherland Liberation War.

Speakers also renewed their determination to turn out as one in the forest restoration campaign to turn all mountains into thick woods by enshrining Kim Jong Il's patriotism.
