Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says in an article in this regard:

The spirit of defending the country that was created amid the flames of war was the greatest one that cannot match any physical force.

The victory in the Fatherland Liberation War helped the DPRK emerge as heroic Korea and miraculous country which brought about the beginning of a downhill turn for the U.S. imperialists and prevented a new world war.

The spirit which carried forward the revolutionary spirit of Paektu highly demonstrated the spirit of heroic Korea that has won a victory after another in the confrontation with the U.S. over the past 60 odd years and aroused all the service personnel and people to a dynamic and heroic struggle for accelerating the final victory.

The fierce war without gunfire has been persisting century after century on the Korean peninsula.

The army and people of the DPRK are the victors in the unprecedented showdown with the U.S.

It is the steadfast will of the army and people of the DPRK to hold fast to the spirit of defending the country in the 1950s as an ideological and mental weapon for glorifying the ever-victorious history and tradition of heroic Korea, put an end to the confrontation with the U.S. and achieve the historic cause of the country's reunification.

The powerful revolutionary Paektusan army is capable of fighting any war, operation and battle which the U.S. imperialists may want and choose and is ready to go into a war whether it is one by conventional armed forces or a nuclear war.

No force on earth can prevent the army and people of the DPRK from advancing with the revolutionary spirit of Paektu and the spirit of defending the country in the 1950s as a weapon for victory.
