V-Day of Korean People Observed by Foreign Papers
Pyongyang, August 5 (KCNA) -- Papers of various countries carried articles to observe the 62nd anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

The Kuwaiti paper Al-Anba in an article illustrated with a photo of Marshal Kim Jong Un said:

Under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung the service personnel and people of the DPRK beat back the aggression by the U.S.-led imperialist allied forces by displaying popular heroism and matchless bravery, defended freedom and independence of the country and thus built a socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence.

It is ascribable to the wise guidance of the leader and inheritance of the great spirit and traditions that the DPRK has emerged a strong country in the world.

The DPRK has a proud history of struggle in which it firmly defended its freedom and independence, sovereignty and dignity.

The Syrian paper Tishrin in an article titled "DPRK marking V-Day, tenacity with which it fought against outrageous U.S." said the service personnel and people of the DPRK worked a miracle of humbling the U.S. imperialists and shattered the myth of their "mightiness" in the Fatherland Liberation War.

The Venezuelan paper Vea said if the U.S. ignites a new war, oblivious of the lesson drawn from its defeat in the past Korean war, it will meet the final ruin, not merely a defeat.
