According to data available, offshore farms under the Ministry of Fisheries hit their yearly targets in seaweed production by July.

The farms increased cultivation area by several hundred hectares and cultivated high-yield species of tangle and laver.

The Pupho Offshore Farm largely raised the production of seedlings to supply them to other farms across the country.

The Kim Chaek Fishery Station on the east coast turned out 1.3 times more tangle than the previous year by applying latest technologies.
