School Youth and Children Start Study Tour of Revolutionary Battle Sites in Mt. Paektu Area
Hyesan, August 4 (KCNA) -- School youth and children across the DPRK started the study tour of revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt. Paektu in the run-up to the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

The tour group made up of participants in the second National Conference of Young Models of Virtue and other exemplary school youth and children. It will tour revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt. Paektu, Pochonbo and Lake Samji.

A ceremony of its start took place before the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo in Hyesan City Tuesday.

Its participants laid a floral basket and bouquets before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at the monument and paid tribute to him.

A reporter and speakers called on all the members of the group to deeply grasp the undying revolutionary exploits of Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and the revolutionary tradition of Paektu and prepare themselves to be vanguard fighters thoroughly carrying out the last instructions of the great leaders by regarding them as their lifeline.

At the end of the ceremony the study tour kicked off.

The group was warmly seen off by people from all walks of life and school youth and children in the city.
