V-Day of Korean People Observed by Peruvian Body

Pyongyang, August 3 (KCNA) -- The Peruvian Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism released a statement on July 28 to observe the 62nd anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

The statement said:

The U.S. imperialists ignited a war against the DPRK on June 25, 1950 in a bid to dominate Korea and other parts of Asia.

The great President Kim Il Sung led the Korean people's Fatherland Liberation War for defeating the U.S. imperialists and defending the sovereignty of the country to a victory.

Under his wise leadership the service personnel and people of the DPRK defeated the U.S. imperialists on July 27, 1953.

The U.S. imperialists, oblivious of the ignominious defeat in the Korean war, are getting desperate in their moves to provoke a new war against the DPRK.

The U.S. imperialists should accept the just proposal made by the DPRK to replace the Armistice Agreement with a peace treaty for durable peace and stability on the Korean peninsula, and immediately withdraw their aggressor forces from south Korea.
