Songun is the most correct idea and line the WPK has steadily pursued and applied in the whole course of leading the revolution and construction. The sacred struggle of the Korean revolution characterized the annals of the victory of Songun that has advanced defying all difficulties and challenges of history by holding fast to the arms.

It was thanks to the red flag of Songun held aloft by President Kim Il Sung in Mt. Paektu and which fluttered as the banner of victory that the DPRK, once eclipsed in the world map, emerged as an example of the world in socialist construction and the Korean people, once fated to be a lesser nation, grew to be dignified independent ones.

The President consistently maintained the line of attaching importance to the arms and military affairs, led to victory two-revolutionary wars and two rehabilitation and construction and two-stage social revolution and socialist construction and thus put the sovereignty and dignity of the country and nation on the highest level. These undying feats in the history of the nation will always shine as the solid foundation for accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche.
