Performance Given by State Merited Chorus
Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- A performance was given by the State Merited Chorus on Monday, the 62nd anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

Among the audience were Hwang Pyong So, Pak Yong Sik, Ri Yong Gil and other commanding officers of the Korean People's Army, the participants in the Fourth National Conference of War Veterans, service personnel, students, officials of the party and armed forces organs, ministries and national institutions, persons of merits, overseas Koreans and the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front.

Present there on invitation were foreign diplomatic envoys and representatives of international organizations here and their wives, military attaches of foreign embassies here and their wives and foreign guests.

The performance started with a serial song "July 27, Our Victory Day". Put on the stage were such numbers as orchestra "Song of National Defence" and orchestra and male chorus "July 27 March".

The performers highly praised President Kim Il Sung for working unparalleled military miracles in the history of world wars by leading the army and people of the DPRK to victory with his Juche-oriented military idea, superb strategies and tactics and outstanding commanding art.

Male chorus and light music "Song of Proud Guards Units" revved up the atmosphere of the performance.

Also put on the stage were songs "Let's Not Abandon Revolutionary Faith Though One May Die" and "We Will Go to Mt. Paektu".
