War Victory Day Celebrated in DPRK
Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- All the service personnel and people of the DPRK significantly celebrated the 62nd anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

A lot of people visited the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred temple of Juche, where President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il lie in state, to pay tribute to them before the portraits depicting their beaming images.

Service personnel, people from all walks of life and school youth and children visited the statues of the great leaders on Mansu Hill in Pyongyang and other parts of the country to lay floral baskets and bouquets and pay tribute to them.

Service personnel, working people and school youth and children visited the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum and the Jonsung Revolutionary Museum and went to the statues and cemeteries of martyrs, towers and graves of fallen soldiers of the Korean People's Army in different parts of the country to pay tribute to the victors of the great age.

Art performances were given to celebrate the v-day.

Colorful acrobatic pieces were put on the stage at the Pyongyang Circus Theater.

Art performances were given in Jagang, North Phyongan, North Hwanghae, Kangwon and South Hamgyong provinces. The performers highly praised the noble exploits of Kim Il Sung and the high spirit of the service personnel and people who turned out in the all-people resistance for defending the country.

People from all walks of life and school youth and children met with war veterans.

Working people and school youth and children visited families of war veterans and honored disabled soldiers with bouquets, health foods, tonics and others to congratulate them on the holiday.

Youth and students held dancing parties across the country.
