Anniversary of Victory in Fatherland Liberation War Observed by DPRK Papers
Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Papers here today dedicate editorials to the 62nd anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War. They call for steadily glorifying the history and tradition of the great war victory.

Rodong Sinmun says that July 27 is the day of the second liberation when the army and people of the DPRK brought about the brilliant victory in the Fatherland Liberation War by defeating the U.S. imperialist aggressors who boasted of being the "strongest" in the world under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung.

It stresses that the victory in the war is one of the President's Juche- oriented military idea and outstanding strategies and tactics and one of the tremendous mental power of the Korean army and people who fought like heroes, united close around the party and the leader.

It goes on:

More than six decades have passed since the fireworks of the victory in the war were displayed. Those days are shining as the history of pride in which the army and people of the DPRK achieved only victories in the confrontation with the U.S. imperialists and their followers under the leadership of Songun brilliant commanders of Mt. Paektu.

The history and tradition of the war victory of Songun Korea are being given steady continuity on the road of advance in the new century of Juche.

These are the motive force enabling the army and people to open the fresh era of prosperity by their concerted efforts.

The paper calls upon all the service personnel and people to make dynamic advance along the road of final victory under the leadership of the great party while loudly singing the song "July 27 march".

Minju Joson says that the DPRK will always mark July 27 of victory as long as supreme leader Kim Jong Un, great Songun brilliant commander, leads the Korean revolution in the van and there are the invincible revolutionary Paektusan army and indestructible great unity between the army and the people.
