The Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea said this in a joint statement on July 18 ahead of the 62nd anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

The statement went on:

The heroic and peace-loving Korean army and people won a victory in the Fatherland Liberation war under the outstanding leadership of President Kim Il Sung, matchless brilliant commander possessed of iron will and rare wisdom.

The U.S. suffered a bitter defeat for the first time in history and was compelled to sign the armistice agreement.

The victory achieved by the Korean people won the admiration of all people.

It also encouraged the peoples of many countries struggling for national independence.

The President, who defeated the U.S. and Japanese imperialists in one generation, was boundlessly revered by the world people as the great leader of the cause of independence against imperialism.

Thanks to the Songun leadership of Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un the DPRK has turned into an invincible socialist bulwark, impregnable fortress which no formidable enemy dares provoke.

July 27, the day of glorious victory, powerfully encourages the Korean people to the struggle for national reunification.
