Egyptian Ambassador to DPRK Gives Reception
Pyongyang, July 23 (KCNA) -- Egyptian Ambassador to the DPRK Iman Mostafa Abdou Ahmed gave a reception on Thursday on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the July 23 revolution in Egypt.

Present there on invitation were Foreign Minister Ri Su Yong and other officials concerned.

The Egyptian ambassador said in a speech that the peoples of the two countries will always remember the unstinted assistant the Korean people sent to the Egyptian people during the war in October, 1973.

The friendly relations between Egypt and the DPRK based on mutual respect and cooperation are developing in various fields in conformity with the desire of the peoples of the two countries, he noted.

The DPRK has always supported the rights of the Arab people, he said, expressing the belief that the Korean people would achieve greater success in all fields under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Ri Su Yong said that the Korean people sincerely wish the government and people of Egypt big success in the work to build a powerful and stable country under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

It is the invariable stand of the DPRK government to value and steadily strengthen the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, Ri noted, and adding: The Korean people will stand by the Egyptian people on the road of independence, peace and friendship in the future, too.
