First Democratic Elections in DPRK Introduced by German Body
Pyongyang, July 23 (KCNA) -- The Anti-Imperialist Forum of Germany posted on its website an article titled "First democratic elections in DPRK" on July 16.

The article said that the democratic elections with all people involved took place in the DPRK for the first time in history on November 3, 1946, one year after Korea's liberation. It went on:

The whole country was wrapped in a festive mood.

In this significant day President Kim Il Sung went to a polling station of Sub-constituency No. 52 of Constituency No. 6 in Pyongyang city and voted for a candidate from a worker.

Addressing the Pyongyang Celebration Democratic Elections on November 1, 1946 the President said that the democratic reforms enforced under active support and participation of all the Korean people drastically changed all aspects of the society and laid solid foundation for building the DPRK.

At his precious instructions, the Korean people took part in the first democratic elections and fully displayed the indomitable will to build an advanced democratic and independent state with the concerted efforts of the nation.
